Theatre Marina!

n September 2015, as the curtains rose on our maiden production, a new benchmark quietly emerged for the stage. Theatre Marina was born as a new-age live theatre collective, driven by bold interpretations and fearless storytelling.
Founded in 2015 by three passionate visionaries — R Giridharan, Keerthi Mariappan (Keerthi), and Sri Arunkumar — TM began not just as a group, but as a movement to reimagine theatre with freshness, depth, and contemporary spirit.
Cutting Edge

TM has a whirlpool of talents, ~ 100 members team consisting of playwright, directors, music directors, artists, backstage managers, set designers, costumer-designers, photographers, lighting Designers and makeup artists.

So Far...

Over the past decade, TM has produced 20 original plays, staging nearly 200 performances since 2015.
From reimagining the Epics of India to exploring futuristic fantasies, each production stays deeply connected to contemporary society. Through bold storytelling and meaningful reflection, TM has carved a distinct space in the theatre landscape.

Ably guided by acclaimed theatre personality Giridharan, whose 28 years of experience in the performing arts have shaped his distinctive creative vision, TM’s journey stands on a foundation of legacy and mastery. Having walked alongside legends such as K. Balachander and R. S. Manohar, his artistic footprint carries the depth of tradition, discipline, and dramatic excellence, enriching every production with wisdom earned across decades on stage.
