Ten-Ally-Drama Fest – Season 4 (2026) provides support and development for emerging and established theatre talents, promotes creativity, and recognizes excellence in theatrical expression. The festival serves as a platform for sharing artistic experiences in a positive yet critically engaging environment.
Brought to you by Theatre Marina, this National Theatre Festival celebrates diverse voices and storytelling, with the objective of advancing the quality of theatre in Chennai and across India.
Rules for script submission:
| Eligibility | Open to playwrights aged 15+ of all nationalities, races, and genders. |
| Performance | Selected plays will receive technical support. |
| Multiple Entries | Allowed only for scripts. |
| Participation Limit | An individual can act and/or direct in only one production. |
| Theme and Genre | Open. Any theme and genre are accepted. Monologues are not allowed. |
| Language | Tamizh / English / Hindi / Kannada / Telugu / Malayalam. |
| Duration | 12 Minutes in total, including 1 minute each for set-up and exit. |
| Submission Format | 🔸Scripts must be in PDF format and adhere to industry formatting standards.
🔸Script language: Native (no mixed languages such as Tanglish, etc.). |
| Selection | A panel will select the plays. Results will be published on the festival’s website and social media. Results will be published by April 30th. |
| Competition Levels | Prelims will happen during June 2026 at Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Madurai, & Coimbatore. Each city will host 10 plays, and 2 from each city will be selected to perform finals in Chennai. |
| Performance Rights | The playwright grants the festival promotional use rights but retains all other rights. |
| Disqualification | Non-adherence to rules, defamation, or infringement of IP rights will result in disqualification. No profanity & No individual attacks. No smoking fire on stage. |
| Copyright | The playwright is responsible for ensuring the script’s originality and compliance with intellectual property laws. The festival is not responsible for any legal disputes or content curation. |
| Timelines | Specified on the festival page. Late submissions will not be accepted. Organizers may adjust timelines if necessary. |
| Entry Fee | 🔸Script Submission – Rs.1,000 (non-refundable)

| Data Protection | The data collected will be used for the Ten-Ally-Drama Festival and Theatre Marina. It will not be shared or sold to any third party. |
| Rights | 🔸Theatre Marina reserves the right to cancel, reject, or select plays and make the final decision on all matters.
