The thin line between fantasy and history has gotten thinner through this wonderful explosive writing by Jayaraman Raghunathan.

A self-confessed fanatic of the writing of the Legend “Sujatha”, JR forays into the history, taking cues and hues from “Kalki” in giving the viewers a highly innovative journey back in time. The temples of South India, the inscriptions and carvings hold a great deal of information and have always have been reflecting the rich cultural heritage of our state; virtually being a treasure hove. Just a more than casual onlooking will transport us to a not so documented era of great civilizations.

One such incident that sparks from the carvings in the gopurams in one of the greatest landmarks of South India – the Big Temple at Tanjore, built by the greatest of the Chola king’s Raja Raja Chola – forms the basis of this story.

Deftly directed by R. Giridharan and performed by Theatre Marina, this production is sure to capture the mind and emotion of the audience in a thrilling and enchanting way.
