TEN-ALLY-DRAMA FESTIVAL – Rules are necessary to facilitate fair participation in any festival. These rules ensure that all participants meet the high expectations of theatrical work, promote the efficient running of the festival, stimulate creativity and quality, and ensure a fair experience for all.
Rules for script submission:
| Eligibility | Open to playwrights aged 15+ of all nationalities, races, and genders. |
| Performance | Selected plays will receive technical support. |
| Multiple Entries | Allowed only for scripts. |
| Participation Limit | An individual can act and/or direct in only one production. |
| Theme and Genre | Open. Any theme, genre, and monologues are accepted. |
| Language | Tamizh / English / Hindi / Kannada / Telugu / Malayalam. |
| Duration | 12 Minutes in total, including 1 minute each for set-up and exit. |
| Submission Format | 🔸Scripts must be in PDF format and adhere to industry formatting standards.
🔸Script language: Native (no mixed languages such as Tanglish, etc.). |
| Selection | A panel will select the plays. Results will be published on the festival’s website and social media. |
| Competition Levels | Upto 30 scripts will be selected for Prelims (to be staged on July 5, 6, 12) and 10 from these will move to the finals (July 13) |
| Performance Rights | The playwright grants the festival promotional use rights but retains all other rights. |
| Disqualification | Non-adherence to rules, defamation, or infringement of IP rights will result in disqualification. |
| Copyright | The playwright is responsible for ensuring the script’s originality and compliance with intellectual property laws. The festival is not responsible for any legal disputes or content curation. |
| Timelines | Specified on the festival page. Late submissions will not be accepted. Organizers may adjust timelines if necessary. |
| Entry Fee | 🔸Script Submission Fee: Rs. 1,000/- (non-refundable, does not guarantee selection).
🔸Selection Fee: If the script is selected, an additional Rs. 1,500/- must be paid. However, Rs. 1,000/- will be refunded upon successfully staging the play. |
| Miscellaneous | 🔸Theatre Marina reserves the right to cancel, reject, or select plays and make the final decision on all matters.
🔸Organizers may modify rules without notice. 🔸Script submission implies agreement to comply with all rules. |
| Data Protection | The data collected will be used for the Ten-Ally-Drama Festival and Theatre Marina. It will not be shared or sold to any third party. |

ARTIST REGISTRATION
✅This is open for all the departments of Theatre (Actor, Writer, Director, Musician, Lights & Tech etc.)
✅Each artist can perform in a maximum of two plays.
✅We kindly request all interested solo artists to register on our portal.
✅The registered artists will be invited for a Meet / Audition.
✅This is to encourage collaboration between aspiring solo talents and passionate theatre troupes.
✅Artist Registration does not guarantee participation
✅The data collected shall be used for Ten-Ally-Drama Festival and Theatre Marina and will not be sold/given to any other third party.
